Author Why Does DeleteLayer Show Up in Script Output Palette (SOP)?

Does anyone know why the SOP says a DeleteLayer command has been executed
after every SelectNone command, even though there is no DeleteLayer command
in the script itself? This puzzles me..... Suz

Probably it's just another bug. It may be that a selection is a
hidden layer - one that becomes visible if you use the Edit
Selection command. In such a sense removing a selection would be
equivalent to destroying a layer and maybe that's the origin of
the problem. (BTW to me SOP is standard operating procedure :)

You're probably right about the selection being a hidden layer, Spandex.
But I think it's definitely a bug that the DeleteLayer is being reported in
the SOP (my abbreviation for Script Output palette, which is just too long
to type out all the time.....! ;) ). Seeing "Executing DeleteLayer" in the
SOP is very confusing to new scripters who are trying to learn how it all
fits together - and so difficult to explain, like all the PSP bugs....
Thanks for your insights. Suz[color=darkred]
