Beta4 - PhotoCorrect

| Folks,
I've just completed what will probably be the last beta for this script.
Beta 4 functions...
User Options
1) Normal - Uses a 5 point sample matrix to retrieve an overall image
Luminance value. This is used to 'normalize' the image to mid-luminance.
Contrast is then re-introduced and balanced using Histogram and Curves
adjustment.
2) Center Weighted - This option samples luminance from the center area
of the image only, and adjusts as above.
3) Contact Sheet - This produces a contact sheet displaying the original
image, and examples of the image using the two sampling methods, which
is useful for comparison.
I've also added a secondary user control, to 'fine tweak' the final
image brightness (-20 to +20). The script finishes with the Eyedropper
tool selected, so that image values can be checked.
As I've stated before, the script is very image dependant. Depending on
the original image's luminance and general lighting, the final results
can sometimes be quite subtle, but in some cases quite crucial
(photographically speaking).
To illustrate this, I have attached a contact sheet showing a shot where
the face was incorrectly exposed (spot metering should have been used).
Running the script in 'Normal' mode produces a better 'exposure' but
creates 'blown highlights' in the hair. Running the script in 'Center
Weighted' mode produces far better results, with the highlights within
range.
As usual, any comment and feedback is appreciated.
I've spent too much time on this one (my brain hurts!), so will probably
upload the final version after a few minor tweaks.
Rgds,
Howard

| Thanks Howard
Your efforts are much appreciated and I will squirrel
this away for when I need to fix more exposure problems ;o)
