Author Paint with Light

Hi,

Would anyone know, if the Adobe "Paint with Light" script is more or
less the same as our "Light/Darken" brush? I've heard so many people
raving about that Paint with Light in a photography group I am in.

Similar. L/D with textures comes close. You can get more flexibility
with the easy technique discussed in

There is also a thread at dpreview on this subject and a script was created
to accomplish this.

For what it's worth, I also made a little script that inverts the
foreground color in the material palette. This is a companion to PWL as
you'll find it's often handy to sample the part of the image you want to
enhance and then paint using the inverse of the color you sampled.
