Author automated crop and straighten function

I asked this question on the PSP X board but it appears to be down.... I
was reading that photoshop automates the following process for you and was
wondering if PSP does the same:

I've read that Photoshop has an option that will allow you to take a number
of photos and place them on your scanner bed and scan them into the program,
then cut out all of the individual scans and straighten them. Let's say you
put 6 photos on your scanner, you are left with 6 individually cropped and
straightened photos.

It is an automated crop and straighten function...is there a script that
would do this for PSP or is it a function already in the program? This
would prove extremely helpful to me as I have an entire box of old black and
white pictures that my mother has saved for many years and I would like to
save them electronically.

Thanks for any input in advance.

I have never heard that PSP has this functionality.

Where is an exmple of such a script?

Assuming that by "this functionality" you mean "detecting automatically
separate images within a single scan, cutting out each of these images,
and then straightening it" PSP does not have any such capability,
whether in the program itself or in a script. However, PSP does have
the tools to crop an image from within a larger one and to correct
tilt, perspective distortions or lens distortions in the image. It
doesn't do any of these individual things automatically. Apart from
anything else doing things automatically means getting them wrong
part (and in some cases, most) of the time.

When Trev replied "this functionality" he was referring to was the
ability to automatically crop away incomplete content at image edges
when rotating an image with the Straighten tool to correct a tilt in
the original photo.
