| Is there a way to script (in order to bind to icons) tool settings
changes? Making individual custom buttons for stuff like Point to Point
and Freehand --> so that those icons could be dropped onto the tiny
floating tool bar that often rides atop the current image in play?

Tool settings are defined in presets. Presets are scripts. However,
some brush tools also reference a brush tip, which isn't a script.

I don't really know what you mean. You can put tool icons on any
toolbar as far as I know. I don't know if binding a tool preset
to an icon will both invoke the tool and also change the settings
(which is what I think you want). You could try it and see.

Yes, tried it, and have so far failed.
