Excellent work on making water, I'd say, particularly water which
is the color one often sees in slow, sluggish streams, ditches,
etc. The whole image would look more realistic if you just put the
water on the original without doing the painterly manips on the
original landscape.

I was going to say exactly the same thing Joe. Great water effect Fuzzie.

Nice work on the water, though for my taste (and I'm only a veg)
I'd skip the painterly stuff. If you're interested you can go to
the Manual Color Correction filter and under Preset Colors find
a lot of different pre-manufactured water settings. Yours looks a
lot like the Muddy Water setting.

Well done transforming that greenery into very convincing water!

I was thinking that too, after I did it. :) But then there was stuff like
light poles, power lines, dumpster and construction equipment that I felt
"ruined" the scene so I wanted to just clone it out. But it looked strange
even then so I added some stuff. Maybe if I used some of my tree tubes I
made from pictures of trees I took, it might have looked a bit more real.

It was just a practice, at any rate. But interesting study.

Thank you. :) At least I got ONE thing right. LOL! I was thinking the same
after I got it done but thought "Oh well... it's just practice..."

I was thinking the same about the tubed trees after I did it. But with all
the 'ugly' stuff in the original, I kinda wanted to make it more park-like.
Just was practice though.

It does look like muddy water... like still-standing water. I never thought
to look in the preset colors. Where exactly is that located? (And here I
been using PSP for a long time but still don't know what that is. :) )

Thank you. :) I was just practicing with it to figure out how to do it.

I use PSP X. The "Color Balance" is not a menu, but a filter. And there is
no "manual Color Balance" anywhere in PSP X that I could see. So this isn't
even available to me, it looks like.

Yes it is. Go to View > Customize and drag it out of Unused
Commands where it has been hidden "for your convenience".

Ah, so it is "hidden for my convenience"... that's why I couldn't find it.
Because it was convieniently hidden to make things more convenient for me.
:P Know what? That's coming out of hiding and getting put into a menu. And
my workspace saved. Since I put together my workspace to be a little like
PSP 8 I hadn't touched the customize since.

Off to customize... maybe even give that feature some more looking-at. :)

Thanks Joelle. :) SR also mentioned this so I'm off to make another addition
to my workspace setup. I rarely even touch that since I put together my own
workspace.

At least they did leave it in there... but they sure have an odd way of
hiding things. :/

Really nice effect, Fuzzie. I esp. like the way the water just before the
shoreline actually looks shallow.

This one is going in my files for future reference. :D
