David :o)
Love this too you are doing some neat captures/manips.
The quizzical look is maintained in the rendition :o)
Good stuff.
Maybe down-sizing or even leaving off the border would save a fair
bit on image size here.. Try one with just a small drop shadow
border like a page out of your sketch pad.. It could be finished
enough for these forums where we are looking at your brush work
etc and not the entire finished product.
Just for your info - not a rule or anything :o)))))
I'm ofte in trouble for always top-posting and get some people
really riled about netiquette...

Thanks Carrie:...the reason I made it so big was the last time I posted you
wanted a larger image. I like your idea of using a drop shadow...any tips on
how to do this??? When the border of a painting/photo is white I usually
like to add something to separate it from the background. ..I appreciate the
"netiquette" tip. :)

Errata (sigh getting late here)
(Mistake)
> under image change the canvas size
This should read add about 20 pixels to each edge
(40 more on width and 40 more on height)..
go through the steps till the canvas is resized then
(Missing)
After you have promoted the BG layer add a new layer
drag underneath and fill with white
(Note)
the selection for your drop shadow is the original image layer
But I always have it appear on a new layer (option in the drop
shadow box) as I can soften them or decrease the opacity...
(note 2)
You can then grab your rectangle selection tool (or crop tool)
and select the whole area including a couple of pixels beyond
the drop shadow and either crop to selection (in the image menu)
or if you are using the crop tool just apply.

and I do like the bigger images but I am just pointing out a
way to save pixels that do not show much of your actual image
so you can to show more of your work for the same size image :o)
Hope I made more sense the second time !!
