I'd like to give you tips, but my English really doesn't suffice to
describe what you need.
The reflections in the area meeting the beach are far too big,
they'd be foam instead. You've got the white lines alright, but they
shouldn't stop but instead follow the beach line and clash against
the objects sticking into the water.
You see? Lacking proper terms. I'd look up beach photos if I were
you to see what you need, and then use Warp and smudge and such.

Thanks Joske; I just tried a few brushes and found the warp brush to be the
most useful. It's a whole 'new tool' for me so I'm going to have to practise
a lot. Unfortunately I'm not in the habit of saving all my layers so can't
work on this image anymore. Let me say the there is absolutely nothing wrong
with your English. Art would have to be one of the most difficult things to
discribe in any language.
Regards.
