Is it possible to make a picture to post in a forum that has an invisible
back round so that if it had just words that is all you would see against
the forums back round color?

And if so could some please walk me through the process.

The word you are looking for is "background".

You need to start with an image that has a background of a uniform
color or one that is transparent. Then you save the image as a
GIF or PNG format file using File > Export > GIF Optimizer or PNG
Optimizer. Press the help button in the relevant Optimizer to
find out how to use it.

Thanks Spandex, and yes that is the word I intended to use, I guess I should
have proof read before I sent.
