| OK, the Poser folks have inspired me to play in Poser a bit. It's been a
long, long time since I've done anything in Poser, so this is just
getting my feet wet.
Started off with Jessi Casual and sent her to Poser's Face Room to give
her a new look. Then gave her some hair, played with the lights and
camera, and exported the rendered figure as a PNG. Opened that in PSP
and did quite a bit of post work, including editing the hair a little
and adding a background. To bring out the details and soften the
shadows, a contrast mask was also added. Then I decided to turn the
image into a "painting", mostly using EPS.

Here's the original render straight out of Poser. -Lori

Is it okay for me to say that to me she looks somewhat boyish? It's
not criticism, for the painting is well done. It's probably mainly
the shadows (beginning of a moustache?) and the angles in her face
could make her a very young man. Could be a monitor thing as well.
Yes, I think it must be Jessie day, or the cliche 'great minds think
alike :-)

Yes, I see what you mean about a certain maleness, Joske. Not sure if
that's due to the lighting or if the face morph includes a slight
"beard". I'll go back to Poser and take a look.

Hehe, a Jessi kind of day indeed. :)

It might also partly be a monitor matter. My LCD is pretty bright.

I'm confused about the spelling now. Did I spell the model's name
all this time? When I do a Google image search, all I get is
scantily clad ladies :-)

Nice one, Lori, but her eyes seem to be looking in different
directions. The mouth looks really nice.

Thanks, Barb. I'm not sure about the eyes. That's an eye pose from
Poser, so either they got it wrong or what you see is due to a
combination of the entire pose and the lighting. As I said, this is just
a warm-up - I hope to spend some time playing to get a better handle on
things. :)

"Jessi" is the correct spelling. And I'm sure that if you do a Google
search you will in fact get a lot of scantily clad babes. One of the
reasons I want to play around with Poser is to come up with some more
normally clothed, everyday sorts of characters. :)
Here's one more I did today. I hope there's no hint of beard this time,
although I did have to lighten things up under her nose a bit. I've
included the original render, too.

But I got 'live' babes with my search term :-) I don't mind naked
Poser figures. Spelling noted, thanks.

I'm guessing the jpg is your work and the png is as Jessi existed
before you worked on her?
This Jessi is again a definite boy to me, Lori :-) I think it's
mostly in the mouth and the forehead, and the head shape being
pronouncedly wider above (wedge shape?). The jpg is the softer. The
Jessi's in your later post come closest to realism, in my view - I
like them.
