Heavens, it's the M25 London Carpark!
(The M25 motorway circles London and is called a carpark because nothing
ever moves)

Do you have to pay for the parking too or is that outside the
congestion charge area?

Not yet, but I am sure the 'authorities' will think up something soon to
extract more money out of the poor motorist.

Hehe! Actually, I took this on a good traffic day. We have
another parkway here called the LIE (Long Island Expressway) and
it's known, particularly during rush hour, as Long Islands
longest parking lot ;-))

Thanks, Jeanne. It could have been more unpleasant had I taken a
photo of the drivers face....he wasn't particularly happy with
the traffic <g>. Me... well, I had to amuse myself somehow. ;-)

Any big city will have a carpark-motorway I am sure.
One of the reasons we went to Singapore was so my poor husband didn't have
to get up at 5 am every day, negotiate the M25 for 2 - 3 hours to reach work
+ then repeat the process in the evenings.
Singapore was a doddle, 10 minutes to get to work, 20 to the airport. No
motorway carpark there. Lots of toll-roads though.
:-)

Ok, we call those Freeways, Highways and in slang, superslabs. And when
nothing is moving, parking lots :) And it's just not possible that it is
the M25. The vehicles are all too big! :)

Ha! I spent six months up there, just off Manhattan. Government Island.
I took the white and black ferry with the orange racing stripe 'home' every
night ;) I didn't drive anything while there. Taxis trains n buses :)

Awww thanks. I just grabbed one of my photos that I thought the
script would work well on. Actually, I grabbed several photos,
but only liked this one <g>. I saw your other post, you weren't
too far from us, we're about 1 hour from Manhattan. Taking
public transportation is the way to go.

I was about 11 or 12 years old. Just a bit young. ;-)) It's
my humor that keeps me sane. Or does it? Who knows... hehehe!
