At first glance the people seem to have been dipped in bright
orange paint. Was that something in the original or was it
contributed by Buzz Pro?

.....actually, the original did have an orange tint to it. I guess I overdid
it when I increased the saturation.

Over here in Hawaii, *all* the tourists are that color after a few days - I
thought it looked natural! <g>

Actually, I think I'd kind of prefer a compromise between this one
ans SR's rendition to give it a bit more punch. I think you might
have gone a bit too far the other way - but that just shows to go
how people have different likes when it comes to images :-)

This one looks less saturated everywhere, not just in the skin.
You could try (as I did) using the H/S/L filter on the image
and choosing Reds or Yellows from the Edit droplist. Shift
either range so the center is orange. Then you can affect the
saturation of only the oranges. It is best if you don't just
move the center of the range to orange but also tweak its width
and taper at the edges. The easy way to do this is to set the
Saturation temporarily to -100 and then tweak the range limits
while watching what is and isn't grey in the proof. Then with
the range defined make the real Saturation setting.

The subject is good, the image a little too pale on my monitor.

Awesome! I love the pastel watercolor look.
