As promised, here's something made purely in PSP - no photos were used
to produce this image. I made the bottle using Balls and Bubbles and the
warp tools back in October, then put it in this setting earlier this month.

And here's the same bottle (and a couple other pure-PSP objects) used as
particles for the KPT Scatter plugin. Just somethin' kinda silly.

Beautiful job! I like the way you did the highlights. Very realistic. Will
you be doing a tutorial on this? (hint-hint. :-) )

Lori, this came out fantastic! I know I would never have the
patience to sit and do something like this. Excellent !

Absolutely fabulous!!!
I will second the "hint-hint" tutorial idea.

I agree with Vern, you've done amazing work. I really like the
first one with the transluscent bottle by itself. That's just
great stuff!

Nice work on both pics, Lori! Making silly pics is one of my guilty
pleasures, too ;-)

Good bottle, the shape reminds me of a 16th C wine-bottle I saw on a tv
documentary some time back.
PSP can do it, it just takes a little longer, well done. :-))

Good work, Lori. What goes in the bottle? :))

Thanks, Joske. Yep, I noticed that glitch, too, but decided I better
post right away or I might never get around to posting. I think the
problem is either some overzealous erasing or erasing on the wrong
layer. When I get back home later in the week, I'll pull up the PspImage
file and fool around with it a bit.

;) That's the beauty of a virtual bottle, Barb - it could contain
anything you'd like it to. *lol*

Thanks, Joe. And the beauty of it is that it's really not all that hard.
The bottle is just several copies of the same output of Balls and
Bubbles, warped in various ways and then melded together with a little
erasing.

Balls and Bubbles did most of the work. That bottle is just several
copies of the same ball, warped in different ways and then pieced together.

Hehe, thanks, Annie. You really don't need a full-blown tutorial though,
I think. See my reply to Michelle for a general outline of what I did.

Thanks, David. The lighting controls in B&B took care of the all the
highlighting and shadowing. I love B&B. :)

Thanks, Jo=EBlle. I think it's safer to work with pixels than with molten=

Thanks, Michelle. It really didn't take all that much time. B&B did most
of the work for the bottle. The floor is just a fill pattern with some
perspective added with the Pick tool (and a copy for the trim, which is
just squashed down and aligned along the wall). The wall is another fill
pattern with a bit of grunge added. And the shadow is a drop shadow on
its own layer, sliced up into three pieces - each piece on its own layer
- with a little distortion and/or warping.

Thanks, Carrie. I might post another version of the Scatter image later
this week. That one uses the same "particles" but more densely packed.
The result looks almost like satin-stitching or some other sort of
needlework.

Looks so real. The closest I've come to this is a script I have on my
ByteBin.Net web site that creates a jug vase (and one creates a rather
odd-shaped flask). I made the script a few years back in PSP 8. But it's not
as realistic looking as yours is. :-)

I almost mentioned that only my heart was crossed - guess I should have. ;)

Truly, I posted this to demonstrate that you can do some nifty stuff
with PSP only and without an excessive amount of effort. If someone else
here would give something like this a try, I'd be very, very happy.
