Nice job, Pop. My first efforts at anything in PSP were very
hard on my eyes, you did well :-)

Thanks; even though I put this in the wrong group? I could NOT
figure out where my post was, then came here, and bingo! There
it was. Hope that wasn't too big a faux pas.

OUCH! The original was red! A lousy color, for me at least, to
"engolden", at that!

If you're looking for cars, I found my pics over in
alt.binaries.pictures.autos. Those nuts over there flood with
about anything ever created; a real stash of photos. Usually, if
you can't find what you want, ask and within a day or so there
will be an actual flood of that model/year<g>. So I mean it when
I say they're "dedicated". There's about a 99% chance what you
want is already there though. How about a wooden motorcycle?
Harley, I think it was. There's one of those there, too<g>.
If there's any flyboys here, alt.binaries.pictures.aviation
has a lot, too; commercial and military. Being ex Naval Air
Force I've even contributed a bunch myself. Differnt nick
though; forget which one I used; it was a long time ago.
Caution: Limit the quantities on your downloads or you'll be
there a long time waiting for it to finish! Much better to
Search than peruse though.

Cheers,

Pop

Then hopefully you will not perceive as unkind when I say that as an
image, I like your first try better than the final? :-)

The color of the first car is probably not bright enough for you,
but I like it. To me, the color of the second is too harsh. This is
mainly because it is everywhere, on the black stripe on the side, on
the headlights, the windows, the grille... (forgive me if I use the
wrong technical terms, not meaning to offend car lovers but am not a
native writer). I think that it was just on the body, the part that
would be painted, it would blend in better. That is what I like
better about your first image, the details of the car are not
colored and distinctive - it makes the yellow (ochre?) stand out
better. Another thing about the second car is that, understandably,
the tires have become a little 'blocky' by erasing around the car.

Was this bad? :-) I usually prefer to be straightforward if I see
something that might be different or better - though I'll equally
say it if I think something is good. It doesn't necessarily stop me
whether posters ask for comments or not :-) My take is, there are
dozens of graphics groups where people are just nice about anything
posted, but this is the only one by Corel for our learning, and
sharing knowledge, experience.

If you look at the filenames, the one that shows up first in his message=20
seems to in fact be his final. :-) I like that one better, too.

Hard on the eyes? HARD on the EYES? Boy, you can say that
again? There's a lot of edumication in those here pics; lots of
hours of it in fact.

NOW I have to learn to remember to save presets! I'm having a
devil of a time recreating that color again. Guess I'll have to
just copy it; oh well. I'm not quite done anyway because the
actual paint job had a silvery "fleck" appearance that was very
pronounced in the sunlight. I -think- from what I've read that
'noise' is the way to do that, but I can't get the effect quite
right. Yet.
We put 2,200 miles/month on that poor car, give or take, for
one and a half years and then spent three weeks driving from San
Diego to New York! Bad weather's over; guess my playtime is too,
for awhile<g>.

Thanks,
Pop

Yup; didn't bother to look at the attached sequence; that'll
teach me not to use titles! Vaguery, the tool of the ego<g>.
