Hi Joske; on all the figures I submitted to this group I painstakeingly
erased those "partially transparent" areas, very time consumming it was too
and any areas I still wasn't happy with I ran the soften brush over them.
Poser has three light sources so I put two at the back of the figure and one
at the front; I didn't want any light comming from the side as I didn't know
what you were going to do.
I'd be happy to send you a model of a fully grown/adult man or woman. Just
let me know.

The default setting starts off with 3 lights, you can remove and add lights
and individual paramaters for each, change any of them around. It's one of
Posers proudest features, actually.

Thanks McG, I'll look into it.

Looking at Kate now I think I did a terrible job of removing the artifacts.
I would need to spend more time on it. :-(

I may have been wrong about the leftovers being from partial
transparency, I admit I did not look closely. If I knew anything
about the programs you and RonV and McGrandpa are using, I'd know
how you create a figure on transparency. It sounds like you
extracted Kate from an opaque background initially after all? That
is hard work, and no matter what one does, there is the choice of
deleting based on a new dark or light background.
As you say, it always needs to be spent more time on... not one of
my favorite pastimes either :-)
Please don't worry about those artifacts on my behalf, Adriaan. It
was very nice of you to send me Kate, and I have already drawn some
things on her (will do more and post when I have more time). The
trick is in making the viewer overlook any leftovers with a fitting
background :-) Clothes of course will cover most of it anyway.
The good thing is, she is now fit to post (although I cannot find a
single word in the TOS about natural nudity not being allowed). Any
other, more adult models, you care to send me, will definitely not
go here without at least a loincloth :-)
Thanks Adriaan,
Joske
