and, best hope it doesn't have any spyware in it to call
home, that could be the end of both our years-long positive
experience with anything-ZIP.

That's old news. You might want to read this post of mine:

Subject: Re: Easter quiz: Oldest version of PSP?
Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2006 16:51:44 -0500
From: Spandex Rutabaga <SpRu@agabatur.xednaps>
Organization: Elastic Rootcrop Institute, Venomous Vidalia Dept.
Newsgroups: corel.PaintShopProX

You should pay particular attention to the links, especially the
Edgar filings http://tinyurl.com/okkxs. Apparently Corel didn't
buy WinZip from WinZip Computing or WinZip International but from
Vector Capital instead. You can draw your own conclusions about
what is happening after you have read the details. If you read the
links in my post you will also learn quite a bit more about how your
world is planned to change in the future.

Well, pardon me for being so far behind the times. It was news to me only
yesterday.
My world does not depend on nor solely revolve on what Vector Capital or
your links, either.
You know, for a person who is so knowledgeable about PSP and things related,
it's a shame you must also be so rude and so quick to try to ridicule
others.

he he he

I wondered when somebody else would notice. But, what do you
expect from a vegetable, who has no rights under any
government to free speech?

Wendy, I had only read vaguely about it elsewhere too. Another
thing: shortened urls don't show where they're leading. So unless
the poster also adds the full url or has made it clear where the
short one is leading, I don't often (feel obliged to) click on it.

No pardon is needed. It is merely a truthful statement that this
information was previously known, not some kind of criticism. I'm
surprised you chose to see a criticism where there was none.

> It was news to me only yesterday.

All the same, the information has been out there for a month or so
and I drew it to your attention in case you were interested. I
assumed that, since you were posting about the topic, you found it
interesting. Apparently I'm mistaken.

I don't care whether it does or not. You can just not read what I
post if you don't care for it. I won't be upset. Why instead you
want to kvetch about my posting is something I don't care about
either. Perhaps you wanted to pose as some kind of know-it-all to
impress others and are upset that others besides you are privy to
some related information. Perhaps you just had a bad day. Perhaps
you jumped to conclusions. What does it matter?

It's in your mind, Wendy. If you want to feel slighted, you end up
feeling slighted. I intended no slight and I see no reason to say
sorry for making a simple and non-judgmental statement of fact as
part of my previous post. I have as much right to post here as you
and I don't need you to approve the contents of my posts any more
than I approve yours. I don't criticize your posts. Even this post
is more of a clarification than a criticism. Please react the same
way to what I write and maintain a respectful attitude.

I bought WinZip 9, and never saw a need to upgrade past that version. I
got the email from WinZip Computing a while back...
