Hello friends,
I made this Flamingo with vectors in PSP9; I have never seen one for real up close but have seen them in books, etc.
I wanted to make some feathers for him and I didn't want to take forever on this.
I went into the internet and got a picture of a flamingo and copied a square section of the feathers. I then flooded this pattern into body to get that feathered look.
I changed it into a Raster layer and then used the push brush to make the outer area fuzzy feather look.
I wanted to make it into a transparent background gif so I used a lite pink transparency when I optimized in animation shop.
The effect texture in the legs are in PSP - effects- texture effects - tiles

Patricia -
Any chance you could avoid including the original images all over
again when you reply to someone? I've seen them once, thank you,
and don't need to download them all over again just to read a one
line message that says "Looks great. Appreciate your detailed
info...Pat". Switching off the HTML might not be a bad idea either
since that probably has a lot to do with the irrelevant attachments.
Thanks.

Sorry Spandex. Thanks for pointing it out because it annoys me too. I didn't
notice that the image was imbedded, I'll try to be more alert in furure. My
messages are set for Plain Text....Pat
