Nice One
Looks like one of those gold/bronze masks
And the warp has given it a new life!

Carrie,

It emerged just from airbrushing colours on to a layer and then just
"warping away"

It is like messing with oil paint on a flat surface....really great..

I think I really like this one. I know I really appreciate the talent it
took to do it.
Very creative.

Interesting . . . it looks like molten metal. It is developing a
patina there in the middle. :)

I like what you've done but just a small technical comment. Look
at the enlarged section in the attached image. The JPEG artifacts
are to be expected. However, the fact that your warped lines are
formed from whitish dots rather than appearing as smooth lines
is a problem. This defect is all the more noticeable since you
have light pixels on a darker background. I believe this is due to
one (or both) of two things: (1) not using an adequate Draft Quality
for the size of image you are working with, or (2) disabling Final
Apply at Best Quality. Small images require higher draft quality.

Make sure you have Resample Using set to Smart Size in Image > Resize.
