WHAT DOG ARE YOU?
There's a dog inside all of us, waiting to be let out. This game is
based on a computer called SUKA built in 1975 by Russian scientist
Mikhail Volkonsky and now housed in the London Science Museum.

SUKA is powered by CATS (Canine Algorithmic Transfer SystemT) which
is able to determine what kind of dog you are. Simply answer 10
questions, being as honest and accurate as possible and CATS will
calculate which breed you resemble the most.

Joske, Italian Greyhound

You must really love that breed. Did the time (age) come to not get
another dog, Ron?

Truth be told, I'm not a dog person at all. But what I *can* say
about dachshunds is that my favorite, one of the best ever, teacher
had them too. She taught German, we always thought that was why she
had German dogs.

Sigh, old age finally gets everything and everyone. 17 years is very
old for any dog, but miniatures are among the longest living of the
dog species.

In this particular case, Michelle had nothing to do with it, although
I think Michelle could see that even in her old age, the dog was
loving and loved. She had her own blanket on one side of the den and
would wrap up in the blanket to keep warm. One of the few dogs I've
ever known that actually liked to be covered.

As long as my wife wasn't working, she could take care of the dogs in
the daytime, and I'd do it at night and weekends. Dogs need
companionship at all times to be happy. When my wife went back to
full time work, we decided not to adopt another until one of us
retired. Say, anytime between now and two years from now. I'll be
able to work another two years at most.

I don't know why the misconception appeared that dachshunds were
german, since they were originally bred by the French. Incidently, it
worked backwards for poodles, which were originally bred as german
circus dogs.

Still, we've found ours to be playful, loyal, and extremely protective
of their territory. One of mine tore up a 80 lb. boxer that just
couldn't believe this 'Sausage' was coming up from below his defenses
to drive him away. One other trait of this breed- they'll beg for the
entire contents of the refrigerator! They're perfected the big eyed
sorrowful stare at whomever is near the food. (and believe me,
they're very determined to have their way!)

When I first tried this a month or two ago, I came out being some sort
of spitz, too.

This time, I described myself as "playful" rather than "mischievous" and
came out as a Saluki, which seems much too elegant for me. Best to stick
with the spitz, I think. :)

LOLl..well, I changed my hair and I lost weight, so I'm happy,
and you look fine, baldish greyhouds are cute, and there's no
shedding. Come to think of it, with all this hair, I could use a
fleabath ;-)

Yes, I could. She was a cutie pie and very loved. Besides, I

Thanks Joske! Mom is a very special lady and didn't mean to inject
serious note in a fun topic. We all have a sense of humour about this
and that's the way we like it in addition to being a great way to
cope with life in general.

Mom thought my results on the test were hilarious and immediately
tried to make me 'heel' but I resisted strongly! rotflol

Certainly one of my favourites.

Maybe I should explain that Bacalhau is dried cod, originally from Norway.
Turned into a Portuguese
dish with potatoes, onions, butter garlic etc etc. Very delicious.

Hence the Norway connection. A bit of lateral thinking was involved here!

And I can add that is one of the national dishes from Portugal.

Good thought, that bacalhau.

That was fun Joske, it would appear that

like the skinny legs with Poodle type bands on
the end of them!!

Oh, he was very pretty, Christel. I've always liked spitzes and other
spitz-like dogs such as Shiba Inus. My dog when I was a kid was a
husky-shepherd mix, and she looked a little spitz-like. I haven't had
another dog since she died, either, back when I was in college.

have been lurking around here, but not always have the time to post, or

'Bakeljauw' in a Surinam dish. Very tasty, so your dog alter is
doing a good job catching them for us :-)

As a sophisticated European, I'm telling you those bands look quite
charming on you... never dare to shave them off and 'strut your
stuff' on those Ozzie streets for all to see :-)

I wonder too what it was that matched me with an elegant dog either
:-) You and christel are better off with the spitz. It has a good
ring to it, alert and energetic.

exist before.
