I usually played the part of the mummy. Had to hold still in the
vertical sarcophagus until they had decided I was just a prop and
walked into a dead end, then animate and walk up behind them.

The trick was to slip up behind them and let one 'Discover' me
standing there, blocking their exit. After a moment or two, go back
to my tomb. Rules were: No touching and don't really scare them too
much! (There's a fine line for you.)

It always amazed me how much repeat business I had. Usually, the ones
that screamed the loudest would do a Judas Goat on their friends.
