Have you looked at pspug.org? they have Beginners classes, Self Learning
Program (SLP), buddy system and lots of other help to get you started.

Are you talking about mouse over's on web pages. That means more than one
button and some Java script. psp can do the buttons and you can download
the java script

PSP is simply a graphics program. You can use it to make
graphics like buttons (including arrows, fingers, or whatever)
but that's it. To make these graphic images show up in a web
page you need an HTML (i.e. webpage) editor. Further, to make
the graphics that you put on your web page with your HTML editor
you will need to use something like javascript.

If you are looking for information on how to make the graphic
(i.e. the button) in the first place, then if you are more
specific about the problem you are having in creating it somebody
might be able to help.

If you want to know how to make the button change and/or become a
link on a web page, you should be able to get that information
from the people at the forums4designers link that is under your
sig in your post.

If you make the buttons, Image mapper in PSP will make all the code for a
mouseover for you. It CAN be done in PSP.

She probably doesn't know that, as she's not posting directly to
this server but to an online board that takes all C's newsgroup
content.

Thanks, Joske. I therefore hope my posting was helpful.

Perhaps someone can direct Lovies and other users of the online board
towards the best was to access these newsgroups directly.

I'd like to make several suggestions - some to help us and some to
help you.

First, go to this Corel page http://tinyurl.com/2pt9o, scroll down
to Paint Shop Pro and click on every newsgroup to which you want to
subscribe. That way you will be using the newsgroups as Corel intended
and not via some borrowed version of them at forum4designers.com. Each
newsgroup will automatically be configured for you in Outlook Express.

Second, once you've done all that, turn on the spell-checker in
Outlook Express and use it. It will make your messages much easier
for others to understand. If OE has an option to correct grammar,
switch that on too please.

Third, if you want to make buttons, go to the following web page
and choose one of the tutorials that meets your particular button
needs: http://www.psplinks.com/content/Buttons.html

Fourth, if you want to generate the HTML for rollover buttons go
here: http://www.psplinks.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi and enter the word
"rollover" (without the double quotes) into the search box. Press
the Search Directory button. You will get hits to seven relevant
tutorials.

Lovies - you CAN do it in PSP but honestly, it's a pain in the butt. You'd
be better off just creating the two or three button stage images in PSP and
then doing the rollover itself in an HTML editor.

I don't even bother teaching the Web tools any more, they are more trouble
than they're worth.

As far as OE well to many security glitches for me I would not touch that with a 10 foot pool!

For those that were helpful thanks a bunch!!!!

Yes, I that's painfully evident. But it cuts two ways - I'm none too
anal about taking the trouble to help you when you make it hard for
me to do so. I'm only a vegetable and I have to sound out words as I
read them so I can figure out what they mean.

By the way, "enter pages" are wonderful, though you should really
create a 3 MB Flash Animation in place of a simple page to let people
have the full benefit of your design skills.

While Spandex might have put it slightly more abruptly, I support
her position on spelling, unless it's due to just errors or a
lack of having the opportunity to have learned the correct
spelling.

However, the use of the letter "u" for the word "you", or "ppl"
for "people" indicates not a lack of ability but the short form
usage of teens in chat rooms or text messaging on cell phones.

There is no lack of screen space for viewing complete words when
viewing this group on a computer, and as it's not a chat room you
don't need short forms of words for speed.

You are, of cours, free to do as you like in these Corel groups
(within the Corel Terms of Use, of course). But if you expect to
spend any time communicating here you will gain more credibility
- and likely more responses - if your posts indicate that you are
prepared to act like most participants here do - like an adult
and not a child.

If I was a child I would rant which I have no time for, I right 1/2 my stuff on the fly I am either in the barn or between designs and barely have time, so excuse me!
I asked a question that I thought I could get help with here, not a school lesson, for me if I can't read it, don't know anything about the topic I move on..no use carrying on about something that has no validity. But I will say I will try and pay attention to the things mentioned, but please... I am an adult geez.

as for the flash, lots of my clients hate flashy stuff, a little animation they like, but I wanted to incoperate my buttons into the graphics itself to make it more uniform ( for lack of better word). I also just want to change it up and learn somethign new!
