After reading all the posts re: "new psp version", I have never been aware
that one could "archive posts". Is this a setting from the view option (I
currently have mine set to hide unread). Or is there another option I should
use. This would centainly be useful when in a hurry and trying to located
needed information, although I mostly lurk, and seldom post.
thanks

Who is Spanex? Are you perhaps addressing me?

I'm not sure what you are talking about. The newsgroup server at
Corel keeps all the posts. I'm not sure how long they will be kept
around but I think someone once said that they would be around for
a year. After the post retention time is exceeded at Corel the
posts will most likely be archived at Corel and deleted from the
server to make room for new posts.

You are using Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180. I don't
use this newsreader so I don't know how to answer questions about
it. People who use OE seem to have an awful lot of trouble keeping
up with posts. Despite this it is inexplicably a very popular
newsreader so maybe someone else around here can answer your
question.

Do you really have it set to hide unread. I think you mean " hide read
messages"
If set to show all Messages you will see all the ones you have downloaded

Hi Marianne,
What I personally do, it to actually save individual posts, just as one can
with
Email messages to a separate folder for archival purposes. You can
select the message, just as you can for an email message, and then "Copy to"
a folder in your Email Program.

I don't have any problems with OE and keeping up with posts.
Once I have it set up, everything works just fine . . at least for
me. :) I download all the new posts and they (along with all the
old ones previously downloaded) are there each time I open OE.
