Windows equivalent of BBEdit's "Gentle Hierarchical" formatting option?
|
|
|
| Can anyone recommend a Windows program with the already-configured
ability to do what BBEdit's "Gentle Hierarchical" formatting option
does? I'm trying to clean up some HTML files on a PC, but I usually do
my work on a Mac.

| Thanks for the pointer. I've tried playing around with the various
Windows options, but Tidy is insistent on "fixing" the code. All I
want is a quick indenting pass, and then I'll do the fixes manually.
I've tried setting all of the options that involve adding to the
existing code, but it seems there are things I can't turn off
(different things in different programs).
BBEdit's "Gentle Hierarchical" formatting option recognizes tags for
indenting purposes, but it treats the file as text, not HTML and
doesn't rewrite anything.
