Author Batch outline generator

Anyone know of an offline batch tool that can generate an outline from
html documents like the w3c html validator can?

OpenSP, from openjade.sourceforge.net

That's what the w3c validator uses. Taken out of the validator,
it's exactly what you're asking for.

On a previous occasion I had a go at interfacing with OpenSP, I didn't
get very far. The documentation, web resources and mailing lists are
afaics all aimed at programmers and/or people familiar with SGML.
