My guess would be that "Priyank" offers enhanced versions, with Troyans,
viruses, and advertisements. That would be consistent with "Priyank's"
Usenet (mis)behavior, wouldn't it?

I wouldn't go that far... and guess that Priyank gets a tiny amount of
money for every download through his site.
