how to stop artsd/noatun

| Can anyone tell me how to stop artsd and noatun?
I don't use KDE.
This time, it got started by my browser when I clicked on a .mov link.
The browser's gone, but artsd and noatun are still soaking up my CPU.

There is probably a directory with all the init scripts.
But are you shure your machine needs the aditional power?
