Author help on burning audio cd..

i want to burn an audio cd that will play on any cd player.

i have 1 cd - r disc so i need to get it right first time and never
tried before. now i need advice on what program i can use that will copy
several mp3 files from my hard drive onto the cd-r, so as i can then
play the cd on any cd player?
