| Hi,
We have a need for a web-based application that can help catalog and
manage any kind of file and media. Please help if you know of any such
application. Here are our requirements :
- The application should be web-based,
- Should run on Unix,
- Must support any kind of files : images, videos, ppt, word, binary
of all sorts etc...
- Files must be stored in a database,
- Must offer facilities to upload files, organize them in categories
or collections and sub-collections, or types, etc...
- Must offer facilities to search files using different criteria,
- File types may be given arbitrary attributes; Files may be searched
using these attributes too,
- Files must be served to different web applications from the database
or form disk,
- Application must offer some interface for other applications to talk
to. (Java applications).
I'll really appreciate your help.
