Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to make "swirls" with PSP? An example would be the background on this website: http://www.barrierconsultinggroup.com. TIA

Do you mean the grey curved object in this image?
http://www.barrierconsultinggroup.c...kground-815.jpg
If so, make curved selection (i.e. roughly in the shape of the
backwards letter "C") and fill it with a gradient of grey colors
having one repeat.

One way to make a curved selection is to start by making a
circular or elliptical selection and then subtracting a smaller
circular or elliptical selection from it. The selection can be
stretched and otherwise manipulated in Edit Selection mode as
well. A second way to make a curved selection is to draw a
vector object with the Pen tool and then node edit with the
same tool it until it has just the shape you want. When you are
happy with the shape make sure the object has a solid fill and
then do Selection > From Vector Object.

Gradients can be edited in the Gradient Editor accessible via
the Material Picker. Create a new gradient to contain the
colors you want to avoid destroying any existing gradient.
When filling the selection use the Flood Fill tool with the
Match Mode set to None.

Thanks for the help. I'll give it a try. I have a Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering.
