I see on the Corel website that when you click on File from PSP XI it
takes a while. they blamed it on some memory application. i don't
have that application, yet it is so slow. Does anyone have a fix for
this? Thanks.

The instructions are at
http://support.corel.com/scripts/ri...p_faqid=760166.
In short you go to View > Customize, click on the File menu to open it
(in PSPP XI's normal menu bar, not in the Customize dialog box), then
right click on the "Lexar Active Memory System" and select "Delete".
You probably will have no need of the Lexar Active Memory System, but if
you'd like to find out more about it, see
ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/documentati...exar%20AMS.pdf.

I saw this tip earlier, but I don't have the Lexar Active Memory
System.

Nonetheless, you probably have Corel's software for it, installed as
a driveby download in "mark*ting partnership" with Lexar. Do try the
easy fixup; it cannot hurt.

You do... it's part of PSP X (10.03 and up) and PSPP XI. The slowdown
(which by no means effects everyone) isn't caused by having the program,
but by having the menu item for it in PSP's "File" menu.
