Curves - Help Needed (please)

| Hey - I'm a casual user of PSP9. My skills and experience are limited, but
I've usually been able to figure out what I needed to do by using the
excellent tutorials spread around the Internet. Now, however, I'm stumped. I
want to create curves similar to
http://www.ricefields.org/images/curveexample.jpg to be used on a website
header. This example's 3D edge effect is a nice touch, but I'd be thrilled
just to get a smooth curve. I've worked and read and worked and read with
the bezier tool, but it just ain't happening. I would appreciate any advice
or links to a tutorial even I can understand.
Thanks for your help,
~OC~

I suspect you are not placing enough nodes but if vectors don do it for you
how about selections with the point to point and a large amount of smoothing

Trev - Thanks for the feedback. I've tried that and it gives me smoother
curves. Nothing professional, but I could probably live with it.
Unfortunately when I either paste the selection, or invert the selection and
delete, I end up with ragged edges, regardless of whether anti-alias is
selected or not. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the point-to-point
selection tool?

While I'm somewhat proficient with PSP9 I am not proficient at all with
creating vector objects or curved lines. However, there are others in
the Corel Paint Shop Pro groups who are proficient in doing so, and in
how to then convert your vector lines into selections.
The following link will give you the Corel page where you can subscribe
to any or many of the Corel groups. Read the instructions, and you'll
find the links to the various Paint Shop Pro groups by scrolling down the
page. Clicking a group link should automatically configure OE to read
that group.

Thanks, JoeB. I didn't know those groups were out there. I'm in and posting.
Thanks again.
