Author Looking for program to change PNG info fields en masse

So I thought I'd ask fellow PSPers...

As the subject says, I'm looking for a program to change the info
fields (eg Description, Copyright, Artist, Title) on PNG files,
preferably many files at once. I'm using good ol' PSP8.1 to do this
one graphic at a time, but of course it can only do one image at a
time, and it's just a bit tedious to load the graphic in PSP, shift-I
to get the info interface, click on the center tab, then fill in each
field. I need to fill in info on hundreds of graphics!

This is what batch processing is for. Open a sample image. Record a
script while you do the Shift-I, text entry, and click OK. Save the
script. Close the image. Edit the script, setting the ImageInfo step
to Interactive.

Set up the batch processor to apply this script to some or all of
the files in one folder at a time. Do it first on a test folder
containing copies of a few images to make sure you have set the
numerous options for the results you want.

For details see Help > Contents > Automating Tasks.

Fred, I read your reply no further than

>This is what batch processing is for...

before I quit reading & started scripting. I haven't used PSP
scripting very much, and hadn't even thought of using it for this. I
just finished editing sixty-one images relatively quickly before I
came back to say: That worked! THANKS!

Well done! Thanks for the progress report.
