If PSP did it, probably by using a gradient as the fill in a preset
vector shape.

Got to the Material Palette (F6), click on Background and Fill
Properties square, click on Gradient; chose your gradient, orientation
etc. ; OK
Click on Preset Shapes in Tool Menu (or keyboard P), choose your
shape, have retain style unchecked, create as vector checked, line
width at zero. Draw out vector shape with gradient.

For a song, a very small amount... Possibly a single soup spoon full or
less.
But seriously, the soup du Jour is PSPX
The ingredients are:
Take many years of dedicated development by the great Jasc team, steam for
a long time, adding gradually over that period many fine additional
ingredients, occasionally when the need arises, suddenly add a great
dollop of PSP8, then again simmer for a while, until PSP9 is almost ready
to serve...
Catastrophe... PSP9 has not been allowed to marinade quite long enough, a
change of management is in the offing, so the Chef is forced to serve up
PSP9 before it is quite ready.
Despite this adversity, PSP9 is quite an acceptable soup, a little extra
condiment added at the table improves the flavour quite a bit.
Catastrophe, heaped upon catastrophe, the new restaurant owner is a
Philistine of unmentionable proportions...
He orders the Chef to take the basic ingredients of PSP, throw out any
ingredients that might smell of sophistication, and add some plebeian
commonly sources materials to make the soup palatable to even the most
unsophisticated.
Oh woe is us, we are now left with a Soup du Jour that tastes like Tom cat
piss.
Boo hooo!
Dave S
PS: Please don't ask how, but I do actually know what Tom cat piss tastes
like. :-/
