Text on a curve help - PSP 8.1

| I've got a graphic with a curved top. It's sort of like a rainbow
with several curved rows of different colors.
I want to add text to the various sections, and it will need to be on
a curve. Problem is I can't duplicate the correct curve when using
the preset shape tool elipse to create the vector path. The resulting
text is either too curved, too shallow, or just doesn't fit.
Should I be doing something differently? Using a pre-existing graphic
is getting the proper curve just a matter of 'dumb luck'?
TIA,
BessieBee

You could use the object selector tool to squeeze, expand or distort to get
a matching curve Or use the pen tool to draw a Bezier curve or a point to
point.

Well, duh! I inspected every single unfamiliar button, but that one.
It was greyed out so I just ignored it.
I'll be playing with it later tonight. Thanks, Trev.

You need to draw the curve as a vector, and have the vector layer
active, or the Object Selector icon will be greyed out.

| How do I get the text to be on the inside of an ellipse? What I ended
up doing was creating another ellipse inside the the one where I wanted
the text to be curved just inside the top and bottom and after much
fiddling, got the top to look like it was curved just inside the
outside ellipse, then hid the inside one. However, I was unable to get
the same effect on the bottom, as the text wants to be on the outside
and thus upside down.
Any suggestions?
