When I select "Drop Shadow Border," I get a prompt "Save Selection to
Alpha." I haven't checked all the scripts but other ones seem to be
working properly.

I am using 8.10 version that PSP sent me shortly after I purchased the
program. When I reinstalled it, I did not install the original first.
Could that have anything to do with this?

There is nothing wrong with PSP or your script :-) You are running
the script interactively, that's why you see a step you wouldn't see
otherwise.

The Script Toolbar has an interactive playback toggle. Make sure
it's not pressed.

File, Script, Run Script has Run Script options. Set it to Default.

Your post made me go to that menu, as I've never run a script
from the menu. I note that the dialogue has a "Check Script
Version" checkbox, which is checked. There seems to be no help
topic associated with this item. Do you know what actually
happens when it checks script versions?

There wasn't a help topic for it even in 8. I could never find a
difference between checking or unchecking it, but then I didn't look
too hard as I too work from the toolbar. PSP X is the first that
uses 'version' in every 'Do'. I just checked if PSP 8 would give
different output when running an X script, but the option doesn't
seem to make a single difference. I could well be wrong though.

I forgot to mention that I used this script all the time before I
reformatted my HD and reinstalled everything and it worked like a
charm.

Just a matter of different settings. I hope you understood the
solution I wrote in my reply.

Not really, but I'll poke around and see if I can make some sense of
all of this. Thanks.
