Author Registering PSP 10

Hi there,
I legally bought and installed PSP 10. After installation a window popped
up, reminding me to register PSP. The computer isn't connected to the
internet, so I phoned up Corel and they send me a registry key to disable
the reminder. Well, this key causes ---- nothing :-(
Week after week PSP is getting on my nerves with that reminder to register.
I asked and mailed, but Corel haven't managed it yet to send me a working
registration key :-(
Does anyone else had this problem, and know how to solve?

Thanks in advance

I had no problems, but I am linked to the internet so all happened
basically automatically

Several people have had the problem. If you are comfortable editing
the registry, you can set the value there that Corel's program
should have set.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\Paint Shop Pro\10\CorelReg\PR10
contains four values named Default, LastLaunch, Schedule, and
StartDate. Create a new DWORD value named RegistrationSubmitted,
value = 1. The usual cautions about backing up before editing the
registry apply, of course.

This has been discussed at the Corel PSP 10 newsgroup, which you
might like to check out. That's where most of the action is.
http://tinyurl.com/2pt9o gives the Corel NG URLs and directions for
setting up the popular newsreaders to connect to the Corel server.
Look for a thread "Help: how do I remove that splashscreen,"
starting on February 19. I posted a picture of the relevant registry
entries there, which is not necessary to set the new value but can
supply a double check on your setting.

I just stumbled over this post, but if you had a downloaded trial, then
purchased a retail boxed version, you have to uninstall the electronic
version and reinstall the boxed version, or the key won't work. Found this
out the hard way.

His PC isn't connected to the Internet so it must be a disk!

Or maybe its reminding him he has not downloaded the free extra resources
that uses the same splash screen

that's cool, I'll try that (need a week to see if it worx) :-)

Strange that Corel isn't able to supply this..... They send me a registry
key (twice), but without this value.......

Anyway, thank you very much indeed!
