| My PSP8 no longer works
I keep getting a module8 00011f7a message telling me that PSP8 has
encountered a problem and needs to close asking me if I want to tell
Microsoft about this problenm giving me the option to send a report or
cancel
I have use my CD hoping it will repair this problem, to no avail.
What is wrong here? Please advise.
I do have versions 7 and 9 and had the trial version of 11, which is
already expired.

Hi Donna,
That message is about as useful as the "check engine" light in your
car. It says something is wrong, which you already knew <grin>.
Without more information than "it no longer works," we can only
offer suggestions for general cleanup.
Your best bet is to identify and undo whatever changed when PSP 8
stopped working. Did you add any new fonts? Do a Windows Update? Add
hardware or change old hardware? Update any drivers, especially
graphics drivers? Upgrade any other software?
Second best is a complete removal and reinstallation of PSP 8
because your repair installation did not correct the problem. Save a
workspace to preserve your customizations if PSP runs well enough to
do that. Download ZapPS from
ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/PaintShopPro/X/. Run it, identifying your
version of PSP, and check all the boxes for a complete removal.
Re-install PSP 8.10.
If these do not fix it, please write back with more details about
what leads up to the crash.
