Author Problem with PSP 9 Windows Installer

I have a problem. Every time I reboot or start my computer I get a
message from PSP WIndows Installer that acts like I have not downloaded
PSP 9. So the installer comes up and I keep canceling it but it is
getting very annoying. My PSP 9 works fine when I click on the icon
but if I go to Start/Programs/Jasc 9 to start 9 it also begins to
install it. So I cancel it then too.
I don't want to undo the PSP 9 I do have for the settings and so forth.
I don't know if resetting 9 would stop the problem. I have done this
several times before this and do not lose settings that I created in
applications such as inner bevel and drop shadow so I could try that.
But it seems there are 2 PSP 9s and one works and the other is not
installed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks lee

Something has corrupted the MSI files related to PSP 9 or MSI's
little database of installations. This happens all too often. There
are two ways to correct it.

1. Get out your CD or download file and let MSI complete a repair
installation. That should make it happy. Save a workspace first to
preserve your customizations.

2. Right click the Start button. Explore All Users. Find the
shortcut that causes the problem. Although labeled Paint Shop Pro,
it actually invokes the MS Installer. Replace it with your own
shortcut that points to the PSP executable. A copy of the icon that
works fine should do it, or make a new one.

Thanks for the information.
I tried the Repair and it did not work for me.
But I may need to do it differently than I did.
When I did it the PSP 9 it repaired was much smaller than the one I had
that was functioning properly. The one that works ok still does work
with that icon for it but maybe there is a second PSP 9 trying to
install for some reason.
The second way I can only find the shortcut for PSP 9 that already
functions.
I will try again to see if I can make it work this time.
