I have psp 9 and am not aware of any special problems. Is it worthwhile
downloading and installing the update? - or better to wait for some
more significant change (and maybe avoid some unexpected problem)
Thanks,
Thelma

There will be no more changes to PSP 9. PSP 10 is the current
version. I assume you have the U.S. English version. If not, please
disregard the rest of this post.

The two PSP 9 patches, numbered 9.01 and 9.0.1.1, correct a few
defects and improve the documentation, which you can read about in
their release notes. They did not introduce any new defects as far
as I know. I'd recommend installing them. If you do not like the
results, you can always uninstall them from Control Panel > Add or
Remove Programs.

Thanks Fred - I downloaded 9.01 - which was what came up on the Corel
site.(not 9.0.1.1.) I thought I'd install it first thing tomorrow -
then I can try it & use goback if there's a problem. I have a 56k
connection - so downloading is a big deal!

If you have the US English version, definitely get the 9.0.1.1 patch as
well. It's a much smaller download than the 9.01 patch at about 4.4MB,
fixed a couple of problems that the 9.01 patch introduced and is
available from http://ftp.jasc.com/pub/update/en_psp9011_jasc.exe.
Also, for large downloads, you might find a download manager useful.
These will download the file as multiple parts to maximise the use of
your available bandwidth, will resume downloads that have previously
been broken before completing, and can often be set to disconnect or
shutdown the computer when the download finishes... so that you can
leave it downloading while you go to bed. The one I use is ReGet Deluxe
(http://www.reget.com/) but there are several free download managers
available. Some of the freeware ones are horrible, spyware laden things,
but the two at
http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/20...DownloadManager
are free, very good and contain no nasties. Everything at
http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/20...tegoryIndex.php is
freeware that has been chosen by the users of the alt.comp.freeware
newsgroup to be the best of its type and is totally free of ads, spyware
and other scumware.
