Combine two images

| Hello,
I'm a newbie. I want to combine two images into one. One is greyscale
image of a bunch of small 0's and 1's laid diagonally. I would like to
'lay' this image over another such that only the 0's and 1's are
visible, but the underlying image's contour shows through via the
thinning and bolding of the 0's and 1's. Is there a way to do this in
PSP 6? I've tried textures, but I just get a blending of the two - not
what I want.
Many thanx to any who can help,
Rip

Blend Modes. Paste the 1 and 0's image over the other. Look in the Layer
Control Palette and try the different blend modes.

| HI, Angela,
Thank you for responding. I've tried what you suggested and I used the
'overlay' blend mode which produces an effect similar to what I'm
looking for. The 0's and 1's get lighter and darker according to the
image beneath, but if I turn off the visibility of the underlying
image, or scale it's visiblity, the 0's and 1's lose this effect. Is
there a way to copy the 0's and 1's layer in it's light/dark state and
save it?
Many thanx,
Ripper
