Loss of Color Gradient

| In copying a screen capture embedded in a Word document and pasting to
PSP 8.00, the title bar that is a color gradient in Word pastes to a
set of distinct color bars each presumably representing the average
color for that section of the full title bar. How can I maintain the
continuous color gradient in PSP?

Check to see what the colour depth is and If necessary increase to 16
Million colours.
