Author Profiling a printer

I've profiled my scanner and monitor using Profile Mechanic. Now I have to
profile my printer (Epson 1280). I've tried "Cathy's Profiles" which comes
highly recommended. Though she has been very cooperative, I have not yet
achieved the desired match between what I see on my screen and what gets
printed. I'd appreciate suggestions for either better use of Cathy's
profiles or an alternative source.

Thank you.

You should be able to download the Epson 1280 profile from the Epson
site, I did for my Epson Stylus Photo 830.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that you need to profile a triplet:
- the printer system
- the ink setup
- the paper used

Any change in those variables ruin your final result.
