A friend of mine is having problem with her PSP 7. She keeps getting 2
errors.

The first one happens all the time.

The exception breakout point
Breakout point has been reached
(0x80000003) occured in the application at location 0x7c901230.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on Cancel to debug the program

The other one only happens when she opnes certain background
templates....the error is
An undefined error has occured- 118

I have done a search but haven't been able to come up with anything
myself.

Thanks for any help.

"Happens all the time" does not give us much to go on. It certainly
does not happen to other users, so we need to find what is wrong in
her installation. If you can get more detail--much more
detail--someone will spot the trouble.

What language and what patch level of PSP 7? What version of
Windows? Is it current with Windows Update? When did the error start
happening? What changed at that time? What actions can make PSP give
the error? Does the error happen on all images or only some? What is
different about them?

What other programs are running?

If images are loaded, please describe their sizes in pixels, their
color depth, and the number of layers. How much RAM is on this
computer? Wondering about memory use here.

What is a "background template"? Perhaps a layout file for multiple
image printing? What is different about the ones that fail? Can she
create a fresh new one that works?

What corrective action have you tried? Have you loaded the default
workspace? Uninstalled and re-installed?

The newsgroup is a slow way to debug a system, particularly with you
relaying messages. For faster action, she could call the free tech
support at the numbers found on the Corel web site. Plan to have
answers to all these questions ready for tech support. They will
very likely want to start debugging with a fresh installation.
