Upgrade Pen Partner?
|

| Hi,
My Pen Partner has used up its last nib. I am wondering if perhaps
it is time to replace it with a comparable Graphire. Anyone familiar
with both and have any thoughts on the advantages of the later unit?
Thanks,
Gary

I've had Pen Partner, Graphire and whatever the present one is, each
purchased to go with a newer computer. The main difference is the button
now does both left and right click (or can be set to other fuctions), you
also get a mouse that can be used on the tablet and the control program
offers more flexibility. General functionality is about the same although
the newer ones seem to have lost cursor jitter that sometimes accompanied
Pen Partner. You might call Wacom and ask if they newer drivers for
whatever your operating system is and will sell you a new nib, which
is/was replacable. I wore mine down too.

I use one of the original Graphire's at home and a Graphire 3 at work,
in usability I really cannot tell any difference and I am using one or
other 10 hours a day. But, the Graphire 3 has a slightly tilted up
tablet (which I like) and at the top end a slot where you can store your
pen, not huge differences but if you are a heavy user it may make the
difference.
