I'm probably talking out the hole in my .... but...
I had a similar problem a while back, I'd scanned some old B&W negatives
and after cleaning them up in PSP, was attempting to print them out, and
while they were printed essentially B & W greyscale, they did have a
slight dark green tint.
I resolved this by resetting my (Epson) to print only from the black ink
tank, in otherwords not to create the the B & W & greys out of mixing the
colour inks.
This sorted the problem.
It does of course depend upon what sort of ink setup is used by your
printer.
On mine, as well as the colour mix to make black(ish), there is a separate
black tank, and I can config the printer to print only from that tank.
From Print Setup.
Printer name?
Properties-Main tab
Click the Set ink to black button.
