As I have a P111 600 Pentium, I have been more than happy with PSP 8. =
However my hard drive needs reformating or replacing. I've just =
discovered my PSP 8 program is corrupted & I can't do a new install. As =
Jasc has now sold to Corel & they only offer PSP 9, would anyone be able =
to help me out? I need a new full retail copy & the two patches. PSP 9 =
is too advanmced for my system as well.

Why don't you do the install from your CD? You do have a
CD don't you? If you downloaded it, why did you never
create a CD-R backup of it, and the rest of your system?

Nobody is going to give you a retail copy of PSP since
you're probably a troll looking for a freebie.

The Lord helps those who help themselves!

That's Bull S. Customer service will help if you are a registered user In
the case of an electronic down load they will allow a second download. in
the case of a corrupted disc. They would replace. If you asked correctly and
stated clearly the problem. But dont just ask where can I download PSP 8

http://www.corel.co.uk/servlet/Sate...d=1047023030213

Or if the wrap does not work
http://tinyurl.com/aps7u

If the problem is the disc failing to install try to copy to the desktop and
install from there. If its just un readable then you may have to send it to
Corel to be replaced.
Use the 0800 number on the link I gave

Greg, the way she worded her OP, it sounded like a HD crash had
wiped her out - mebbe. But I suspected she was a troll trying to
get a freebie. Who would ask readers in a Usenet NG for a
"retail" version of PSP? All she had to do was call Corel
Customer Support. 'Course, iffn ya ain't registered, ya ain't

This is the old, open PSP newsgroup that was invaded by trolls quite
some time ago. There was a private Jasc newsgroup that required
registration, but, that closed down when Corel bought PSP. Most users
now use the PSP newsgroups at cnews.corel.com which is moderated and
when certain Trolls turn up there from here they are soon kicked out.
You'll still get help from the few users who still frequent this group,
but, it can be hard going here and bona fide new subscribers here tend
to get directed to cnews.corel.com There are also Forums on the Corel
site, but, they are also echoed in the corel newsgroups and vice versa.

I don't hide and *I* can use *both* There is a difference between free
speech and being an XXX hole who's actions stop or make difficult the

Jerry, do you realize that you're not replying to Greg Farr who usually

Not to change the subject (the flame war) but I would like to say
something useful (maybe). If the coruption of your disk is due to a
scratch or other blemish there are places you can take it to get them
polished out. I've had it done. The information on your disk is within
the special layer on your disk, not on it's surface. Therefore the
information will not be bothered unless it's scrathed really bad. Try a
music store maybe? Good luck, BH

This often can work. If the scratch is on the upper part of the disk,
the part with the writing on, then there is a greater problem as the
information is just under that surface. People tend to be careful of
the side the laser shines on and careless of the printed side, but,
they have it the wrong way around.
