As in navigation buttons for websites.

Does anyone here have any experience in creating the type of buttons that can be
used on a website for navigation and linking to other sites and pages? I/m using
some that can be created online at a site called cooltext.com, but I'd like to
try and design my own. I realize it's just a graphics project, but I really
don't know where to start. I'd like to make something like the ones I'm using,
but with room for a little more text, as the ones on cooltext limit the number
of characters.

If you want to see what I'm talking about, go to www.drivetosurvive.org and look
at the buttons on the left. This is what I have in mind, though anything even
more creative would be fine. Is there a source for blanks that can be modified,
like pipes? A Google search found nothing. Thanks in advance.

The link below goes to a site that has 9 pages of free button
blanks of various types you can download and then modify yourself
in PSP. And if you type "web buttons" without the quotes into
google you'll find many other sites you can visit that have some
free buttons for download.

They look like button 006 in the psp preset shapes.
But there not hard to make all you do is drag out a shape to the size you
wanted the colour you want add a text layerand save as a psp image. For each
new button reopen it and in the layers palate select the text right click
edit text. enter the new words and save as a gif with a new name . this way
all buttons will be the same colour size and font and you can go back in 2
years time and add another that looks like all the rest.

Damn! Thanks! I never knew they were there. I appreciate it. For years, I've
used PSP for cropping, resizing, working the colors and contrast of my digital
photos. Making my own graphics is all new to me. I had checked the online help
for "buttons" and found nothing. Thanks again.
