| Back in the olden days of windows 95 I had a filter that would elrminate
white but can't get it to work now.Found one & downloaded it but it is a no

Anyone know of a way to make this one work or one that mighght replace it?
Thanks for any help

You don't need any of these filters. The ability to eliminate
any color is built in to PSP. There are two ways to do it.
Method 1:
1. Layers > Promote Background Layer (if not greyed out).
2. Magic Wand, Match Mode set to RGB, desired Tolerance, uncheck
Contiguous, click on white.
3. Press the Delete key.
4. Do Selections > Select None.
Method 2:
1. Layers > Promote Background Layer (if not greyed out).
2. Selections > Select All.
3. Selections > Modify > Select Color Range. Set Mode to Subtract.
Set the Reference color to what you want to remove (e.g. white).
Specify the Tolerance and Softness. Colors within Tolerance
are completely removed. Colors within Softness are removed
according to degree of color similarity. You can preview all
this and tweak the settings to taste.
4. Selections > Invert.
5. Press the Delete key.
6. Selections > Select None.

Hey, Angela, how come you no longer post the status of PSP sites here,
like you used to? You know, like 10 new sites added, 1000 deleted, on
psplinks. Bad news, I presume!!!!!!
