I don't like the top image of the letters selection page (music), and
someone else told me the PS2 button is now out of place (with other two)
Looking for ideas and criticism. I do NOT know thing about sites. I just
used a notepad for most and then found arachnophilia for tables for the
music liknks, and the images/buttons I did by playing around also. So that
in mind what would be better? (note: this is stuff for the movies, games,
and music I have. A way to organize it for myself and if friends are
planning on coming over they can browse the movies) All that said here is
the page(s):

http://home.mchsi.com/~emails/MAIN.html

Also, I'll probably get bashed for this, so please tell me where I should
ask for criticism ..other newgroups etc

Main Complaint. When navigating within the web site, it should be
FROM one page TO another. NOT opening a new page each time. Opening
new pages should be for when you are sending them out of your web
Site. That way, it's easy for them to get back to your site.

Minor point. What is the point of the site. Are we there to buy,
listen to, look at, or ask you to trade....?

Well.....as I said one thing was it's a way for me to organize the stuff I
have collected. If I have my nephew over to watch a movie I tell him to go
there and see if there is something he likes. He also did say he wants a few
cds like the stuff on the game VICE CITY. Well that narrows it down. So I'll
send him the link and have him tell me what he likes. Removing the _blank is
easy enough. I did that because when I open something I always open in a new
window from other sites that don't do it. I guess I am different. Not sure
actually why. I think I like to have multiple open and alt tab between them
and compare things. I am not selling anything. I would not use such a layout
for that. The way I did this was to be fun. I'll be fhe first to say it's
not the best way to convery information. A more basic site on a white
background....blah blah does that well. I do not know anything about
websites etc. I only play a little with psp also. I really don't know how
limited I am but I have version 6.02.

Back the opening new browsers...does that make is slower? I don't know what
the avg computer now adays is. I have a 2.4 GHZ and 21" monitor set @
1920x1440 so a lot of stuff looks small to me. Considering all the stuff
that is out now it seems that my computer is certainliy nothing special. The
way that site, does it take a long time to load?

Hey thanks for checkin' in Jack!

It looks like a good site for little kids who like video games and movies .
.. . but as far as "professional" . . . it's a tad bulky and the previous
comments about multiple open windows is a little annoying.

Now, if this is for home use only . . . it's definitively okay, but (in any
case) I would trim down some of the image sizes . . . not just for speed
purposes (it seems to load fast enough), but for screen real-estate purposes
.. . . you want to be able to see more on one screen . . . not scroll two
screens to see one image. Most monitor sizes are going to be 19" CRT or 17"
LCD . . . resolution can be as large as 800 x 600 but most set at 1024 x 768
.. . . if your resolution is set to something more detailed . . . I suppose
it would look okay, but most people don't have screen sizes in the 21" plus
size or have their settings at 1600 x 1200.
