Author Is this amenable to a Script?

I've just got around to finishing a web page showing photos of my
second Thames Path walk (last August). As you see, the pages for both
years consist of a table of largish 'thumbnails'
http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/terryp...03/Photos03.htm
http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/terryp...alkphotos04.htm
and clicking one displays a larger picture.

But that larger version has no caption. For the 2003 photos I
laboriously added them to each image. (Not very successfully; like
film subtitles, readability varies widely dependent on the image.) But
that issue apart, I'm wondering if I could use PSP 8 to develop a
script that would take my existing captions, probably via Windows XP
clipboard, and get it into the photos? I'd take the opportunity to
improve visibility by making them say black text inside a white
rectangle.

Or is this too complex for a script novice? Any suggestions would be
appreciated please.

You may want to take a peek at the SimpleCaption script that I believe
shipped with PSP8.
